数周前当"I Will Possess Your Heart"作为单曲发布的时候，想必已有很多乐迷期待新专《Narrow Stairs》的泄露。确实，Death Cab之前五张专辑的出色成绩使《Narrow Stairs》毋庸置疑成为08年最受期待的唱片。

初听这张专辑，并未感受到多少的惊喜，虽然还是很棒，但并非像MTV评价的那样"unquestionably the best thing they've ever done"。也许对我来说，这些歌听起来没有他们以前那样扣人心弦；也许是对于Death Cab的好感，更多的停留在他们早期的专辑像《The Photo Album》和《Transatlanticism》。
